About Runner Sunday

RUNNER SUNDAY IS BACK!

October 13 2019

Registration open now for 2019

Our service time has changed to 10am, which pushes Runner Sunday back a half hour earlier than prior years. See race day schedule here.

Runner Sunday did not happen in 2018. 2017 pictures seem to be temporarily lost.

Congrats to our 2016 5k and 10k winners.

What is Runner Sunday?

A countryside road race with Lutheran hospitality. A fundraiser for children right here in the Susquehanna Valley. A blend of the physical and spiritual that builds community.

Ever want to run an event on the weekend but feel conflicted about missing church?

Runner Sunday is for you.

Want to visit a church but nervous about who you might meet and how you should dress?

Runner Sunday is for you.

It’s also for anyone who wants to come and race for a good cause, but doesn’t want to come to church after. That’s fine too. We want everyone to be comfortable participating in Runner Sunday.

Runner Sunday will include a 5k, 10k, Un-timed One Mile Walk and Kids’ Fun Run.

The regular Sunday worship service after the race will include a special “shoe blessing” for runners, who are invited to stay and attend in running gear.

(Including the Pastor.)

Race time will be 8:00 am, our worship time is 10:00.

Email Pastor Andrew Weaver with any questions. airweaver@ptd.net
