United Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the largest Lutheran body in the country. We are a church who welcomes people of all races, genders, economic levels, sexual orientation, and political leanings. We strive to make a difference in our community with direct action fundraisers for people in need, as well as supporting many organizations like scouting, the Red Cross, and local food pantries. Our worship is traditionally Lutheran in form, with regular celebration of Holy Communion. We have a vibrant music ministry with four choirs, including vocal choirs of all ages, and a handbell choir. There are many service oriented groups within the church, as well as a youth group and an elementary age “Luther league.”
Our regular Sunday worship service is 10:00. Sunday school is at 9:00. We have Wednesday services during Lent, and observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Our Christmas Eve service is well known in the area for the hundreds of candle luminaria along the road that light the way to worship.
Our pastor is also a balloon artist. He apparently still doesn’t know what he wants to do when he grows up. He was born on leap year and ages at 1/4 the rate of normal people, so he has a long to figure that out.
